Delete Windows Update Uninstall Files

 It was discovered that a lot of junk files are present in the windows uninstall files. These are files

that must have been installed due to windows update as a result problem caused by an application,

but the update file automatically patches it up. Several years after, these uninstalled files becomes

 junk files occupying space on the hard-disk. To fix these problem, you need to follow these steps 

below:
  • ·          Open Disk Cleanup 

      Type disk cleanup below the start button

·     
    Select the drive you want to clean


Delete the Hibernation File (Hiberfil.sys File):

To delete this file, you have to use the command prompt to manually delete the Hiberfil.sys File

  • ·         Open Command prompt from the start menu

Right click as administrator


  • ·         To turn off  hibernation  type this command at the prompt:
 
                     powercfg -hibernate off 


                     vice-versa.



Reduce the Paging File (pagefile.sys): pagefile.sys is the virtual memory file from windows to

shrink this file will save a lot of memory and make the system run faster. Follow these steps below:

·         Right click on computer and click properties at  menu

·         Click Advanced system settings. Enter administrator password if prompted
·         Click on advanced tab:
               Click settings button

·         Click Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
·         Uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box
·         Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change
·         Under Drive Volume Label, click the drive that contains the paging file you want to adjust
·         Click Ok
